The LVBN will hold our annual "Blues Challenge" to decide who
goes to
Memphis for the IBC 2010.

will be considered.
Bands will be judged on a
scale of 1-10 using the same criteria as the national
competition which includes:
Blues Content | Vocals
| Talent (instrumental ability) |
Originality | Stage Presence
The IBC
(International Blues Challenge) in Memphis, January 20-23
2010.
There are three
categories involved .... 1) Best Blues Band, 2) Best Blues
Single/Duo, 3) Best (self produced) Blues CD. Depending on
how many applications we get, we will decide if we will have
live events for categories 2&3. We will however have a live
band showcase to decide the winner (category 1) and who goes
to Memphis to represent the LVBN in the national
competition.
Bands interested
in applying must meet the following criteria:

Be members in
good standing of the LVBN
-
Play in the
Lehigh Valley
-
Not currently
under any recording contract
-
Be able to go
to Memphis at your own expense ($500 reimbursement by the
LVBN*)
(*reimbursement is for the "Band Category" only)
If you meet the
criteria and want to compete, please fill out and submit our
Application
no later than June 15, 2009. If selected to compete locally,
you will be notified by June 30, 2009.
